When Brisbane Institute guest Professor Craig Franklin delivered the University of Queensland’s Inagural Steve Irwin Memorial Lecture on 28 April, his comments attracted attention around Australia and internationally. Coverage included dozens of newspaper articles, radio broadcasts and online news reports. It included a guest blog by Professor Franklin from The Courier-Mail website, and extensive reportage on the event on ABC radio, stemming from a report by ABC current affairs reporter Meg Purtell.
