With news! Cass has finished her degree, Helen has been appointed to the Children’s Health Foundation Board, Liz is embarking on full time study in 2012 to finish her masters, and Colleen and Karen are working with a client on a fascinating TV documentary (more about this next year).

For a hi-tech Christmas. If you love technology, you’ll know that Tablets, 3D TVs and watches are some of the hot sellers for Christmas 2011. For fun, you can join Australians for a showing of New York City Ballet’s The Nutcracker, showing just before Christmas. You’ll be part of a global phenomenon…560 US cinemas will be screening the beloved ballet, too.

We’re wondering …
What people think about nonprofits’ fundraising strategy of sending unsolicited gifts, after our consultant Carmen received four packages in the past few weeks. Each envelope included personalised address labels plus other free gifts such as a toy dog wearing a medal with Carmen’s name on it, greeting cards and envelopes adorned with tigers, and pens and stationery. Apparently, it’s a tried and tested fundraising strategy that’s been around for 40 years because, well, it works…
