When only a certain sex will do

The gender selection debate flared again in July 2010 with the delay of the long-awaited review of National Health and Medical Research Council guidelines – imposed in 2004 – banning the use of sex selection technology for social or ‘”family balancing” reasons. Dr Ashish Das Medical Director of City Fertility Centre had his opinion on the IVF gender sex selection debate published in the opinion pages of The Courier Mail on 20 July 2010.
